This is a common piece of tactical gear designed to hold ballistic plates and/or soft ballistic armor for military or law enforcement personnel. It includes padded pouches specifically designed to hold plates up to 10" x 13", and the plates are easy to insert thanks to ample use of Velcro fasteners. Of course this carrier does not offer any ballistic protection – you must include your own plates and or body armor inserts.
The vest can be adjusted to fit comfortably with its fully adjustable and padded waist band and shoulder straps. In addition to comfortably carrying your armor, the vest is loaded with MOLLE webbing, allowing you to attach all manner of pouches to your front, back and sides. You can customize it to your mission, adding ammunition pouches, a gas mask pouch, utility pouches or a holster. There is plenty of room on the back for a hydration carrier.
